Makynzie is Here!

My sweet baby girl. Healthy as can be!
Makynzie Johna Belo
March 15, 12:26 a.m.
6 lbs 15 oz 19.5 inches

On Monday, March 14 I was supposed to go into Kaiser to get induced at 10:00. While we were on our way there they called me and said there was no room. I thought my life was over. They told me to call back aound 2 and they will see if they can get me in at 4:00. We got to Kaiser around 5:00 and it took a while to get everything started. My pitocin was started around 6:45.

I was so lucky to have Julie King (my midwife) deliver Makynzie for me. She wasn't on call but she came in just for me! It was so great having her there. She made my labor so much better.

Around 9:45 Julie broke my water and my contractions were getting intense! Around 11:30 Iasked for an epidural and they came in to give it to me. It started to work on one side but not the other. The epideral made me feel worse, not better. At about 12:20 I was dialated to a 10 and ready to push. Makynzie came out with 3 very painful pushes (atleaste is was quick!).

I am so happy to have her here! She has been such a great baby for me so far! The kids are loving her (sometimes too much).

I will post more pictures of her birth once I get them from my sister. Luckily she was there to take pictures!

Very excited to get my baby out!

The most awesome midwife ever!! She made my experience of child birth so much better!

Big sister Addie listening to Makynzie's heart beat!

Very Happy big brother Lucas!
